We’re not just a floral design team, we’re best friends who turned our shared love of flowers and design into something meaningful for the Lansing community. What started with gardening and floral design has grown into weddings, event flowers, and hands-on workshops, all created with locally grown blooms, thoughtful design, and a personal touch.
Welcome, I’m Becca!
As the lead designer with over a decade of experience, I’m passionate about bringing floral visions to life. Whether it’s a wedding, event, or workshop, I love working with locally grown flowers to create something unique and meaningful.
Color is my thing — my training in color theory helps me craft perfect floral palettes, and I enjoy helping couples plan their wedding florals to reflect their style. I also love teaching floral design workshops and sharing my knowledge with others.
When I'm not designing, I'm spending quality time with my family, cherishing every moment with my loved ones!

I’m a special education teacher, and I love working with my little ones.
I love traveling with my husband to visit our grown kids and enjoying cozy movie nights at home.
I’m a sucker for fun shoes (especially a good sale) and bold earrings.
The whole family visiting my parents' lake home in Minnesota during the summer is one of my very favorite things!
Hi, I’m Kait!
I handle marketing and operations, keeping things running behind the scenes. Growing flowers is still one of my favorite parts, and I love bringing that into our work for weddings and events.
Most days I’m bouncing between our website, projects with local businesses, figuring out mechanics for installs, and time at the shop. I like having a hand in all of it and keeping things moving.
If you’ve sent us a DM, planned a shoot with us, or seen something new launch, that was probably me.
Outside of work, I’m usually with my family or out exploring Lansing.

My favorite moments are spent on the porch with my family, a cozy mug of coffee (or wine) in hand.
I’m always listening to audiobooks or podcasts while I work — they keep me company and inspire new ideas all day long.
I absolutely love exploring Lansing with my family and am always on the lookout for new foodie spots to try.
THE SPARROW BLOOM STORY
Sparrow Bloom was born in 2020, a year when the world needed beauty and connection more than ever. What started as a simple idea to grow flowers for Becca’s son’s wedding turned into a business that brought joy to our community. In one evening, we came together, crafted a name and logo, and started a floral journey that continues to blossom.
In the summer of 2023,we opened our storefront in Lansing, giving us a space to create, gather, and grow the business. While we still grow as many flowers as possible in our small urban garden, we also partner with incredible local growers to bring you the freshest blooms throughout the growing season.
Wedding planning can feel overwhelming. We’re here to make it feel easier and a whole lot less stressful.
