Hi, we’re Becca + Kait!

Best friends who somehow turned a shared love of flowers into a business.

If we were sitting down together over coffee or a glass of wine, we'd probably spend more time talking about your wedding than flowers. We love getting to know our couples, hearing what matters most to them, and helping make the planning process feel a little easier (and a lot more fun).

Meet Becca

I've been designing flowers for more than ten years, and I still get excited every time I start creating for a new wedding. I love playing with color, texture, and all the little details that make each celebration feel personal.

During the week, you'll find me teaching special education—a role that has taught me so much about patience, creativity, and celebrating every little win. Whether I'm in the classroom or designing flowers, I love helping people feel seen and cared for.

When I have a little free time, I'm usually with my family, planning my next adventure, or searching for the perfect pair of earrings.

Meet Kait

You'll usually find me with dirt under my nails or behind the scenes making sure all the details come together. I love growing flowers, working with local growers, and helping couples feel calm and cared for throughout the planning process.

By day, I'm also a marketing and creative consultant, so organization, problem-solving, and bringing ideas to life are second nature. I love finding creative solutions, whether I'm planning flower orders or a creating design timeline.

You'll most likely find me in the garden, on the porch with a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine), or spending time with my family.

Our story…

Long before Sparrow Bloom, we'd already been best friends for over 18 years. When this wild idea came along, running with it just felt natural.

When Becca's son got engaged in 2019, we decided to grow flowers for his wedding. Then the world shut down and we found ourselves spending more time in the garden. What started as flowers for one wedding quickly grew into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Before we knew it, we were juggling other jobs, raising our families, and building a flower business we never planned on starting. We opened a cute storefront downtown Lansing, met so many amazing people, and built friendships we'll forever be grateful for. While we don't grow flowers for the business the way we once did, we love working with local flower growers throughout the season.

These days, we're slowing down a bit, spending more time with our families, and focusing on creating garden inspired designs for weddings and events.
