The Best Wedding Venues + Vendors in Michigan

Trying to find the perfect vendors for your special day can be a little bit stressful.

As Michigan wedding florists, we have worked with soooo many amazing vendors over the last few years! So, we wanted to help you and share some of our favorite Michigan wedding venues & vendors with you.

We know firsthand that putting together your dream team is so important! You want to choose people who are not only professional and fit your vision, but you also want to know they are someone you can trust to make your vision come to life…and then some!

It’s so important in this process to choose vendors that you can say, “I love what you’ve done. I trust you to work your magic!” We promise that if you put together the right team and give them creative freedom, they will create something beyond your wildest dreams.

How to Find the Best Wedding Vendors

You’re in the right place to get started! Do you have a vendor that you absolutely have to have?

Start there.

Book them first, then take the time to see who they tag in their Instagram posts and who they work with a lot! Ask them for references or if they have a preferred vendors list.

There are so many amazing vendors that we can’t possibly list everyone here. If you don’t see someone here, make sure you are checking out their social media to get their vibe and meet with them! This helps you know they will make your dream a reality.

We’re always so sad when we get a photo gallery back and there’s not a single bridal portrait or photo of the couple in front of the gorgeous floral arch they invested in for their wedding day.

Now, let’s help you find your dream team!

Michigan Wedding Venues

There are a few things that come to mind when you’re considering picking your wedding venue: natural light, overall ambiance, and having a space to get ready.

Lighting lighting lighting. Need I say more? Everything is better with natural light! Your photographer will thank you and you won’t get any weird dark photos of those important memories and precious moments from your special day.

This goes along with with overall ambiance as well. If you don’t love the look of your venue, you’re going to spend more money on everything else trying to make yourself love it. Some of our favorite venues are simple and don’t need much to make the couple's vision come to life.

One tip that we always give couples is to get a venue that has a space to get ready.

It’s a shocking tip to get from your florist, but in our opinion, it creates a much more relaxed wedding day. If your vendors have questions, you’re right there to answer them. Running late pictures. No problem! The wedding party and families can float between designated areas or you can all just hangout together. Overall, we think this helps couples feel less stressed and more connected on a day that’s all about them being together.

Since we’re trying to keep this short (haha) we’re just going to give a few quick highlights of the venues.

Michigan Wedding Venues

  • Venue3Two is our favorite venue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The natural light is a dream! There are so many amazing nooks on this estate for photos (inside and out). It has everything: a place to get ready, ceremony (inside or out), and your reception. It’s a one stop venue! Also, we are in love with their kitchen. It’s a dream!

  • Zingerman’s Cornman Farms is just outside Ann Arbor in Dexter. Before we worked here, we had no clue what to expect because the photos we saw didn’t make it seem like a farm. But we love working here! It has space to get ready, as well as spaces for the ceremony and reception. It can easily adapt to any aesthetic you’re going for!

  • Forty Nine South is an amazing old school converted into a modern wedding venue in Jackson, Michigan. We’re so obsessed with this venue, the amazing attention to detail, and (shockingly) the natural light!

  • Glasshhouse* is located in Grand Rapids and although we haven't worked here yet, it’s definitely on our bucket list. I mean it’s a greenhouse! So obviously,  we need to do an intimate event there.

  • The Collins Off Main is a great wedding venue in Chelsea, Michigan, just outside the Ann Arbor / Detroit area. Although we have only had a la carte flowers picked up for this venue, we are dreaming of getting there in person because all the photos are amazing and there is a second venue opening too!

Lansing Area Venues

  • The English Inn is a gem of a venue nestled just outside of Lansing in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. There are spots for everyone to get ready, the most beautiful outdoor ceremony space down by the river with our favorite arborvitae to design on, and a lovely reception area. Lots of great natural spaces for photos and gardens that are absolutely stunning.

  • Woldumar Nature Center is a hidden gem in Lansing! We personally love spending time on the nature trails whenever we can. It’s a nice place for a small gathering and lots of space for gorgeous outdoor photos.

  • Peacock Road Family Farm is a staple around Mid-Michigan during the holiday season, but did you know they host weddings too? If you’re looking for an outdoor wedding, they have a great little set up out in the woods that’s so cozy and beautiful!

  • Bear Creek Farm is about 30 minutes outside Lansing on the edge of Laingsburg and Owosso. It has so much to offer with a space to get ready, lots of ceremony locations, lovely spaces for your reception, and lots of rentals right on site.

  • MSU Horticulture Gardens is the perfect venue if you want an outdoor wedding surrounded by flowers! It doesn’t get much better than the gorgeous space right in the heart of the MSU campus in East Lansing.

  • The Cadillac Room is a lovely event space just minutes from downtown Lansing. It’s a truly unique venue that has a modern industrial feel. It’s one downside is that there isn’t natural light. That being said, it’s a great space and if you plan enough time for outdoor photos in REO Town or just around the corner at Cooley Gardens, you will have lots of stunning photos to capture your day.

  • Eagle Eye Club proudly offers two perfect wedding ceremony locations – the charming Wedding Chapel at Hawk Hollow and the elegant outdoor Wedding Garden at Eagle Eye Golf Club. They also have several rooms available for receptions and the golf course is perfect for those stunning golden hour photos!

  • Country Club of Lansing* promises a breath-taking setting for your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or wedding receptions.

    * denotes that we have not worked at these specific venues, but they are on our list we want to and know they are lovely places to work with!

Michigan Wedding Photographers

Yes, we've seen wedding galleries where there isn’t a single bridal portrait or candid captures of the love throughout the day. You know the ones where you can just see the love in their eyes and smiles.

Are they bad? Nope.

However, you need to make sure you know what you want and choose a photographer accordingly. Look at their feed to see if you see those moments captured there.

We’ve seen some of these photographers work magic by beautifully capturing a wedding during a monsoon and you wouldn’t even know from the pictures…AND IT WAS AN OUTSIDE WEDDING! A backyard wedding with a tent and no beautiful historical building as a backup for photos.

Those are the type of people you want on your day! Ones that can adapt, be stress free, and capture every bit of love and magic.

We have worked with all of the planners on this list and they are an absolute gem! Whether you’re looking for full service planning or a day of coordinator, these planners will make your day stress free so you can enjoy the most important part…celebrating your love!

Wedding Attire + Dresses

We know we probably shouldn’t say this being the flower ladies and all, but it is the most important investment of your wedding. There is nothing like slipping into that outfit that just makes you glow from the inside out. So you absolutely have to have that feeling on your wedding day too!

Catering + Desserts for Weddings

This list is short and sweet. We adore all the people behind these businesses! They do amazing work and are the masters of their craft. Also, Kait is a bit of a self proclaimed foodie, so you’re going to get the low down on each of these amazing businesses and the people behind them.

  • Veg Head is new to the Lansing food scene and absolutely amazing!!! We find ourselves eating there all the time because the food is unreal and the staff is even better. The owner, Kari, is the type of person that I (Kait) creepily likes to watch with her customers because she takes time to have personal conversations with them. It’s inspiring! Guess what…we’re not even vegan OR vegetarian. So whether or not you are, make sure you check out the restaurant downtown and their catering options as well.

  • Crowded Table Cookies has the most stunning cookies! Brittany is wildly creative and her designs never cease to amaze me. Plus, she's hilarious and so kind. You can’t go wrong serving her delicious cookies at any celebration.

  • Oakcrest Bakery makes treats that are not only delicious, but absolutely stunning as well! Laura makes gorgeous cakes, our favorite macarons, delicious cupcakes, and more.

  • Mitten Raised is ready to create the cake of your dreams that will taste as good as it looks too! Although they are based in East Lansing, they serving beautiful venues all across the Mitten State.

  • Byrdie Bar is a mobile bar is an upscale full-service mobile bar and tap truck. Whether you're planning your wedding, corporate party, birthday, or anything in between - they're the bartenders you've been looking for!

Stationery + Lettering

Lettering will always be amazing to me! It’s an absolutely stunning work of art and these people are incredibly talented. You can get everything you need locally from lettering on signs, customized invites and more.
